Conroe, TX- Ten years after updating its website with a new logo, the city of Conroe is undertaking a complete website redesign to make the site more user-friendly for residents, businesses and developers.

During its Aug. 24 meeting, the city council awarded a $49,500 contract to Michigan-based Revize for the revamp of the website. The contract includes an annual fee of $8,900 beginning in year two.

Andrew Yousse, communications and public information officer for Conroe, said he along with other city staff has spent five months contacting other cities and government entities researching the best direction to go with the project. “Revize was the top choice for us,” Yousse said. “We are going to make the website easy to navigate for the user experience is a positive one.”

It’s been decades since the city has made updates to its website. The last change was in August 2013 when the city council went back to its roots and adopted the current logo featuring a pine tree. The logo replaced the city’s train logo developed in 2004 to celebrate Conroe’s centennial milestone.
